VISITING THE
CLINIC

When you
bring your pet to the clinic, remember he or she may be a little uneasy about
new people and the other animals. We ask that animals be kept on a leash,
in a pet carrier, or held in your arms before entering the waiting room.
On a very nice day in July we had
two unusual visitors to the Clinic:

Dr. Mike and Buddy |
Dr. Mike and Sooey |
So be prepared for anything...
Your pet and others in the waiting area will appreciate the extra care. If
you do not have a leash with you, the receptionist will be happy to supply one.
If your visit is with a new
kitten or puppy, try to bring a fresh stool sample. If your pet is six
years of age or older, we recommend a stool and urine sample be checked yearly.
Ask us for specimen containers.
IF YOUR PET
IS HOSPITALIZED
All dogs and cats
admitted to the hospital must have current vaccinations including Bordatella
(kennel cough) or receive a booster dose upon admission for the health of all
our patients and staff.

In most cases we
discourage visiting a patient that is hospitalized for routine procedures as it
usually leads to excitement, then disappointment for the patient. However,
if your pet is quite ill, we encourage visitation if arranged ahead of time.
Pets hospitalized
for the weekend will not be discharged after hours or on Sundays.
