The Animal Hospital of Chetek and Animal Hospital North are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our fantastic team and help us provide high quality veterinary care in a friendly environment.

Certified Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant

The Animal Hospital of Chetek and Animal Hospital North are looking to add a full time certified veterinary technician to our team. Our Certified Technicians are the backbone of our practice, and we demand a lot from them. We have extremely high standards, and we hold all staff members to them. We are also the only practice in the area seeing avian and exotic species. We understand that not many techs have experience with exotic species such a Ferrets, Rats, Mice, Sugar Gliders, Macaws, etc... And we are more than willing to teach proper handling, care, and restraint of these species.

Please note that we have a lot of fun at work; those without a good sense of humor should not apply.

All CVT's are given a $500 dollar stipend every  year for CE credits. The Hospital will pay for your license renewal. After 1 year the hospital will contribute a 2% match to your IRA (we will help you create one if needed). 10 days of PTO are given after 6 months, with 1.5 additional days given each year of employment. A maximum of 15 PTO days are given to full time technicians, and 12 days are given to part time technicians.

Technicians at the Animal Hospital of Chetek perform all the following tasks:
